Intel 965 Chipset DOS CDrom Driver
General Instructions:
Seems the JMicron JMB361 Controller on Intel 965 Chipset motherboards doesn't see IDE CDroms in DOS without a special driver. It appears 965s do not support PATA drives by default: ie they see PATA as a "legacy" device. One thing to try is to set your cdrom drive name as the "first boot device", instead of just setting the cdrom as the first boot device.
Or try this config.sys and autoexec.bat with a special CDrom driver for Intel 965 Chipset mobos. Copy these files to a bootable floppy disk and see if it works. The main files are dated Oct. 2006 so they are pretty new.
